Recently, we had the opportunity to work on an exciting project for YPF, one of the most prominent players in the energy industry. Our objective was clear: to transform YPF's educational campus using advanced Artificial Intelligence tools like OpenAI and Heygen. Today, we want to tell you how we did it and why this project represents a before and after in corporate education.
The Challenges: A Need for Innovation
Creating educational content for an organization as large as YPF is no easy task. The current processes, while effective, were slow, repetitive, and required significant time and resources. Additionally, the learner's experience needed to be more interactive and personalized, with modern tools that allowed knowledge assessment, measured content impact, and generated continuous feedback.
We faced several challenges:
Optimizing the creation of educational content and reducing production times.
Creating immersive learning experiences that were interactive and dynamic.
Automating evaluation and certification processes, ensuring validity and trust.
Measuring and analyzing the real impact of the content consumed by users.
Given this scenario, we knew we needed more than traditional solutions. It was the perfect time to enhance our capabilities with Artificial Intelligence.
The Tools: Why We Chose Heygen and OpenAI
To tackle this project, we integrated two of the most advanced tools on the market:
Heygen: A video generation platform with realistic avatars that transforms text into engaging visual content. We chose Heygen because its realism and customization are unmatched. From educational videos to streaming avatars, Heygen allows us to take visual communication to a new level.
OpenAI: A natural language processing tool that allows us to analyze documents, generate summaries, create dynamic evaluations, and intelligently answer questions. Its versatility and continuous learning capabilities make it the ideal engine for our text and data-based solutions.
Our Solutions: Innovation in Action
The result of this combination of tools and expertise was the development of groundbreaking solutions that are already transforming YPF's educational campus:
Dynamic Avatar Exploration: We created a web app that connects to Heygen and allows quick and efficient exploration and customization of avatars and voices. This accelerates the creation of educational audiovisual content without sacrificing quality.
PDF Processing and Interactive Chatbots: We designed a tool that uses OpenAI to analyze documents like PDFs and convert them into interactive educational content. Learners can interact with a Heygen avatar that answers questions, generates summaries, and presents explanatory videos.
Dynamic Evaluations and Certification: We developed a system for real-time evaluations with unique questions for each learner. This ensures that each assessment is personalized and reduces the possibility of shared answers. Additionally, learners receive digital certificates automatically signed by the platform upon course completion.
Advanced Metrics and Feedback: We implemented a detailed analytics system that measures the most consumed content, time spent by each user, and the effectiveness of evaluations. We also integrated feedback surveys to continuously improve the content.
Looking Ahead
The work doesn’t stop here. We are building an educational ecosystem that goes far beyond videos or documents. Our goal is to create complete interactive experiences that combine multiple formats, such as simulations, programmatic quizzes, and adaptive assessments.
The next phase includes:
Automatic creation of training programs from provided content.
Structuring complex documents to generate advanced educational videos.
Comparing content with external sources to enrich chatbot responses.
Developing mobile educational experiences, integrating our tools with Android and iOS platforms.
